Happy Halloweeeen Trick or Treating

Well...it's Maggies FIRST halloween!  Can you believe it!?!?!?  We went trick or treating with Hailey and her friends Rachel and Drew in their neighborhood.  Maggie got dressed up for the occasion even though she is a little upset with her pediatrician Dr. Baker for telling mommy not to give her any candy this year.  He actually said there was a 100% mommy tax on candy.  What a bummer for Maggie.  Mommy decided not to get any candy from the wonderful houses because she didn't think she needed the extra indulgences! Want them...now thats a different story!  So here are a few pictures of the evening.......I tried to get more but the flash kept making maggie blink for every picture.  I also tried to get her to sit up and pose...but am quickly learning that our pictures are going to be imperfect...but perfect for mommy just the same!

A little blurry...but it was dark!  HAILEY!

Drew the army guy, Hailey the clown in mid-jump,
Rachel as Michael Jackson and their dad Odin.

My little angel!

Pay no attention to the yellow baby food on her arm!
Yikes. Spot cleaning time for mommy!

I'm not giving you dirty looks.....

So after a lovely day Sunday taking care of household things and visiting with friends and family, Rob Hailey Maggie and I finished off the day with chicken on the grill.  Then Hailey played for a short while.  The time for the bed time bath routine since it was a school night.  When she got out of the shower I promptly instructed her to pick up a few things she had left strewn on the living room.  Somewhere in that process I mentioned she was going to have to go to bed then since it was already almost 8:30.

And so the dirty looks ensued.  I finally jokingly told her that I knew how to do them too and proceeded to give her a funny dirty look from across the room.  So then she went to go brush her teeth as her dad asked her to do.  He followed behind her.  She continued to give me looks!  Robert asked, why are you giving michelle those dirty looks anyway....

to which my wonderful 7 year old kid says...in all seriousness...to me...
I'm not giving you dirty looks, I'm tryingggg to tell you something with my eyes.....

hehe pretty darn funny if you ask me!

I of course told her I didn't read her eyes very well and wanted her translation.  She then chimed to her dad in the bathroom that I had promised she could play with the dogs and now she had to go to bed so I lied.

Kids never forget a thing and keep you on your toes that is for sure.  But he told her that maybe next time she'd pick up things as she went along during the day and then would have time before bed next time to play with the dogs.

Thanks to the hubby for that good parenting moment and backing up mommy!!! :)

Relaxing with my sister

Every day that goes by, she changes more and more! She is looking so much like a toddler now! This was taken Wednesday night while watching a movie with her sissy Hailey. It's funny now to look down at them on the floor together. Maggie is so big! What BEAUTIFUL girls we have and are blessed with. Thank you SO much God for ALL of my glorious blessings. I am never a minute not thankful for them. :)

Cleaning off my memory card...

In preparation for the weekend visit to my family's house...I decided to clean off my memory card for my camera.  I'm anticipating taking lots of pictures this weekend when Hailey, Maggie and I go back to Western Pennsylvania to visit my family.  I love long weekends...and working for state government and getting the "extra" holidays...like this weekend- Columbus day!

So in clearing off the card, here are some pictures I stumbled upon.  In the hustle and bustle of every day life I seemed to have forgotten about them.  Plus I lost the charger for my camera for about a month since my husband packed it away with the rest of the kitchen stuff while he was remodeling.  Needless to say it has since been found, along with these great pictures:

Aren't these just precious! Look for more to come after this weekend~!!!
